Dr. Cheryl Burnett

Veterinarian

Surrounded by animals her entire life, Cheryl knew from a young age that veterinary medicine was her calling. Starting as a high school coop student, Cheryl fulfilled her dream in 2009 by graduating from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Having lived in Britain for four years, she crossed another item off her bucket list. In her work, Cheryl views the human-animal bond as fundamental to the well-being of patient and client alike, and places a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and care.

Cheryl lives in east Toronto with her husband, son William, beloved cats McCartney (Mac) and Jinx, and their huggable Bernese Mountain Dog, Mira. When not chasing after her toddler at home or Mira at Woodbine Beach, Cheryl likes to relax by catching up with one of her many nerdy podcasts or enjoying a quiet glass of wine with her husband.
